The “2025 Annual Meeting & 40th Anniversary Celebration,” organized by the Taiwan Society of Laboratory Medicine, was successfully held from November 1–2. This year’s theme, “40 Years of Medical Laboratory Science: Passing the Torch, Integrating Innovation, Leading the Future,” brought together medical laboratory professionals, academic research institutions, and industry leaders from across Taiwan to celebrate four decades of progress and innovation in the field. We extend our sincere appreciation to Minister of Health and Welfare Dr. Shih Chung-liang for visiting Rui An’s booth and recognizing our long-term commitment to advancing clinical diagnostics in Taiwan.

Rui An had the honor of inviting Dr. Kang from LGC Group to deliver a special lecture titled “Challenges and Solutions in Liquid Biopsy Assay Validation and Quality Control.” With extensive international experience, Dr. Kang provided an in-depth analysis of current challenges in clinical assay validation and emerging quality management trends. The session drew strong interest from professionals across clinical and research laboratories, reflecting Taiwan’s growing focus on quality, reliability, and innovation in precision diagnostics.

Rui An also showcased the newly developed LGC SeraCare Liquid Biopsy Reference Material, designed to support NGS-based liquid biopsy sensitivity studies and LOD evaluations. These reference materials offer laboratories highly reliable and reproducible quality control tools, helping strengthen analytical accuracy and confidence in liquid biopsy testing.

This year, we invited our partner ALCOR Scientific to Taiwan. Their team introduced a range of automated ESR analyzers—including the miniiSED®, iSED®, and the newly launched iSED® Pro. ALCOR representatives shared insights on global automation trends in ESR testing as well as real-world clinical applications. Many laboratory professionals engaged actively with the team, demonstrating that full automation and precision in ESR analysis remain important priorities for clinical laboratories.

We will continue collaborating with global partners to promote advanced quality management solutions and assay validation technologies. We remain committed to supporting Taiwan’s clinical laboratories as they align with international standards in precision medicine and move toward a smarter, more innovative future in medical diagnostics.
