The "2026 API User Conference: When PT Meets AI — Advancing Toward Intelligent Laboratory Quality Management," hosted by Rui-An International, was successfully held at Caesar Metro Taipei.
This year marks the milestone 20th anniversary of Rui-An serving as the distributor for the American Proficiency Institute (API) in Taiwan, bringing together clinical laboratory professionals, experts, and industry leaders from across the nation to celebrate and share insights.
The conference proudly featured keynote speakers from API headquarters, Katie Moye and Tiffany Ramsey, who shared global perspectives on the evolution of laboratory quality and demonstrated how digital tools, such as the API DataDashboard, can be leveraged to gain valuable insights.
We were also deeply honored to have Guo-Chian Tsao, President of the Taiwan Society of Laboratory Medicine (TSLM), deliver the opening remarks to inaugurate the event.
Additionally, prominent clinical and academic leaders—including Director Chung-Chih Hung (Taipei Hospital, MOHW), Professor Ming-Shih Lee (Chung Shan Medical University), Director Wei-Shiang Shi (Cathay General Hospital), and Director Chiung-Kuei Huang (Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital)—presented on forward-looking topics such as AI applications in clinical analysis and data management, ISO 15189:2022 risk management, Patient-Based Real-Time Quality Control (PBRTQC), and proficiency testing for Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS).
