ViennaLab

ViennaLab develops and manufactures innovative, easy-to-use genetic diagnostic tests using membrane-based reverse hybridization.
These unique, easy-to-use StripAssays® allow accurate detection of DNA variants including mutations, deletions, methylation status and more.
A privately held company located in Vienna, Austria. ViennaLab is composed of a team with committed and reliable members, who share the taste for accuracy and excellence.
ViennaLab is proud of its engagement in product development, promoting original IVD StripAssay
® and RealFastTM kits worldwide with its existing network of distribution partners, guaranteeing international presence.

ViennaLab Diagnostics offers a variety of easy-to-use in vitro diagnostic kits for the detection of genetic mutations, as well as genetic predispositions, pharmacogenetics and oncology.
In combination with a scanner the StripAssay
® Evaluator software permits one-step, automated analysis of up to 20 strips.

The ViennaLab StripAssays® based on reverse hybridization carry up to 48 immobilised probes for wild-type and mutated alleles.

The principle:

1st step: Isolation of genomic DNA from bodily fluids, tissue or cells.

2nd step: Multiplex PCR amplification of specific DNA sequences and simultaneous biotin-labelling.

3rd step: Precise selective hybridization of specific sequences onto StripAssay
®.

4th step: Easy and clear identification of hybridized sequences of interest only. Biotinylated sequences are detected by streptavidin-alkaline phosphatase.

5th step: Automated result interpretation possible.
